At SasquatchXC, we believe that true adventure begins where the pavement ends. That's why we've teamed up with Renogy to integrate our innovative TrailCommand power system, utilizing Renogy's new Rego componentry into our legendary expedition trailers. Bringing industry leading off-grid capability to your next journey. SasquatchXC is the only off-road camp trailer manufacturer to utilize this complete power solution
The TrailCommand system in SasquatchXC's legendary off-road camp trailers is truly in a league of its own. Powered by a 3000W inverter, 400Ah battery and a 50A DC-DC solar MPPT controller with 400W of solar all Bluetooth connected. TrailCommand gives you seamless control over the system through an intuitive app on your phone or the user-friendly touch screen. The electrical command system combines performance and peace of mind during off-grid adventures.
We recently caught up with Justin, an engineer at Renogy, at the Overland Expo Mountain West in Loveland, Colorado to talk about the collaboration that brought this system to life. Working closely with Kass, our founder and lead engineer, Justin helped design and install a power solution that's as rugged and reliable as our overland camper trailers.
What makes the Renogy Rego system stand out? Simplicity and integration. Unlike piecing together components from different brands, the Rego system is a complete package—from solar panels to lithium batteries, inverters, and chargers—all designed to work together seamlessly. That means easier installation, better communication between components, and a more user-friendly experience.
Whether you're deep in the backcountry or parked at a trailhead, you can monitor every aspect of your power system through Renogy's app or the sleek Renogy One Core touchscreen display. From battery health to appliance loads, everything is at your fingertips.
The heart of the system is Renogy's 12V 400Ah lithium battery. It's not just powerful--it's smart. With a self-heating feature for cold climates (SasquatchXC started in Silverton, CO and knows all about those), a shelf-life mode to reduce drain during storage, and a sleek Anderson 350 connector for safe, spark-free installation, this battery is built for serious off-grid adventures.
And with up to 6000 charge cycles at 400ah, that's a LOT of power.

The Rego 3000W inverter charger is another highlight. Slimmer and quieter than traditional models, it delivers up to 9000W surge and 150A quick charging—twice the speed of most systems. That means less time plugged in and more time exploring.
Add in the compact 50A DC-to-DC charger with MPPT solar integration, and you've got a dual-source charging system that intelligently balances solar and alternator input for maximum efficiency. It's IP67 waterproof, powerful, and perfect for 4x4 off-road campers.

The 3000W inverter powers two 15A 110V AC circuits, giving you the flexibility to run multiple appliances--like a blender, coffee grinder, or microwave--even while the air conditioner is operating. With the Rego 400Ah lithium battery included in the system, you can run your 500w air conditioner for up to 9 hours, and your fridge can stay powered for an impressive 180 hours. When taking advantage of the 50A solar MPPT charger, you can harness the sun to recharge your system and significantly extend your time off-grid--making longer, more remote adventures not just possible, but comfortable.
Every component in the Rego system is UL certified and RVIA compliant, ensuring safety and reliability. Bluetooth integration allows wireless monitoring, while wired options make daisy-chaining simple. It’s a system designed for explorers who demand performance without complexity.
Justin's passion for renewable energy and off-grid living shines through in every detail of the Rego system installed in SasquatchXC camp trailers. A chemical engineer from Cal Poly, he’s been instrumental in bringing this vision to life. "Getting to work with partners like SasquatchXC and seeing these systems in action is an absolute blast," he says.
We couldn't agree more.
